8.30am – 9.30am MST, 4 March 2027 ‐ 1 hour

Room: Willow Lake 4

Workshop Sessions

New rules. Increased scrutiny. Real funding risks. Colorado charter schools offering homeschool enrichment and online learning face significant changes following SB26-023 and the State Board of Education’s final rules for part-time homeschool programs, effective in 2027–28. Explore new eligibility requirements, funding restrictions, geographic limitations, authorization processes, and the latest CDE guidance.

Through real-world partnership agreements and CDE audit examples, examine what makes instruction fundable, where programs face compliance risks, and how contracts with nonprofit operators and partner schools can protect both funding and accountability. The session will also address growing legislative scrutiny of online school funding and its potential implications.

Put your knowledge to the test in an interactive “Fund It or Flag It?” polling exercise, then work with peers to strengthen sample partnership clauses. Leave with a practical checklist to help your school prepare for the new requirements.
