Developing and maintaining an effective, efficient and cohesive leadership team is essential to the success of any charter school, but requires a skilled and thoughtful approach to staffing as well as ongoing nurturing. Leading a school is truly a team sport, requiring a range of skills, bandwidth and expertise to fill crucial roles in HR, professional development, student culture, discipline, compliance, data and curriculum. These individuals must also be in sync with your school’s mission, vision and values. This session will help leaders lay the groundwork for building an all-star leadership team that is ready, able and willing to gracefully and methodically take your charter school to the next level.

Dr Leanne Weyman

Regional Vice President, ACCEL Schools

Dr. Weyman now serves as the Regional Vice President for ACCEL Schools and oversees Charter schools in Colorado.  In this role she oversees school academics, operations and fiscal management.  Dr. Weyman maintains a Colorado Department of Education Principal license for grades K-12 and is developing a principal induction program that is accessible for the remote school leaders of Colorado.  Previously, she was an award-winning teacher in the middle and high school science classrooms.
