This workshop will guide attendees through a comprehensive, step-by-step process for developing a strategic plan tailored to the unique needs and opportunities of their charter school. Attendees will learn how to leverage data and stakeholder input to craft a clear vision and actionable goals that drive sustained school improvement and community engagement.

Key focus areas include:
- Considering reasons for a strategic plan
- Examining the current status of the school
- Determining values, vision, and mission
- Developing strategic objectives in the areas of academics, finance, facilities, staff and culture
- Creating an active, “One-Page Strategic Plan”
- Socializing and collect feedback from all stakeholder groups
- Launching the plan

Dr Leanne Weyman

Regional Vice President, ACCEL Schools

Dr. Weyman now serves as the Regional Vice President for ACCEL Schools and oversees Charter schools in Colorado.  In this role she oversees school academics, operations and fiscal management.  Dr. Weyman maintains a Colorado Department of Education Principal license for grades K-12 and is developing a principal induction program that is accessible for the remote school leaders of Colorado.  Previously, she was an award-winning teacher in the middle and high school science classrooms.
