Establishing Best Practices for Effective Technology Integration

8.30am – 9.30am MST, 28 February 2024 ‐ 1 hour

Workshop/Breakout Sessions

According to the National Center for Education Statistics, technology integration is defined as the incorporation of technology resources and technology-based practices into the daily routines, work and management of schools. However, who is responsible for the integration and the quality of the integration? Is it part of a teacher evaluation system? Is it embedded in the tech plan or strategic plan? Is there a committee to decide? Are students involved? This session will focus on three key areas, including best practices for incorporating technology into teaching and learning standards, implementing technology for student assessment and leveraging it for the evaluation of faculty and administrators. Attendees will create an action plan for their school, including the use of a RACI chart to give interested parties a voice.
