11am – 12pm MST, 4 March 2027 ‐ 1 hour

Room: Red Rock 3

Workshop Sessions

Keeping up with the latest student mental health research can be challenging for busy school leaders and educators. This session makes emerging findings accessible, relevant, and practical for charter schools.

Drawing on recent research from national organizations such as the American Psychological Association (APA), National Association of School Psychologists (NASP), and American School Counselor Association (ASCA), as well as peer-reviewed publications, explore emerging trends in student mental health and school-based supports.

Examine what the evidence reveals about effective approaches, challenge common misconceptions about mental health and social-emotional supports, and consider how research can inform school practices. Gain practical insights and strategies that can be adapted to different charter school models, student populations, and available resources.
