What I Do For Charter Schools
(How Charter Schools Will Know Me)

I support the League’s president with numerous projects including scheduling and communication flow, setting organizational priorities, distributing projects and tasks and monitoring progress. I will act as a liaison with the board of directors, including coordinating regular board meetings and working committees. I will also support League staff with various undertakings.


On Charter Public Schools

For 11 years, I was a parent of two students who attended a charter school. For six of those 11 years, I held several key administrative, marketing, and communications positions for a K-12 charter school in Broomfield serving 1200 students. In my current role at the League, I am excited to dedicate myself to ensuring that all families and students have access to quality educational options. 

 

Background
I attended Colorado State University Global and received a Bachelor of Science in Leadership & Organizational Management with a Specialization in Public and Non-Profit Management.  I spent several years working in the medical field as a clinic manager, trained medical professional, and allied health instructor. Early in my career, I spent thirteen years working for the Government of Guam and for part of that time in service, I was an assistant to the Governor and his Chief of Staff. I volunteer for organizations and causes such as the American Cancer Society, Children’s Hospital of Colorado, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and Second Act Women.  My husband and I have enjoyed life together for over twenty-three years and look forward to new adventures as we begin enjoying our empty nest. Our oldest son is a graduate student at the University of Northern Colorado and our youngest son will head to the Colorado School of Mines in the fall.
