Wellness Training Specialists 

The Colorado Physical Education Cadre is managed by Wellness Training Specialists and provides state of the art,
standards-based in-service training and technical assistance for physical education teachers, classroom teachers
and school staff. All workshops are based on academic standards, best practices and tailored to meet the unique
needs of each audience.


Action for Healthy Kids 

Action for Healthy Kids offers a variety of trainings and webinars throughout the year for parents and wellness team members. Topics focus on healthy eating and active living. These opportunities are usually free.  


RMC Health

RMC Health offers a variety of trainings and resources by request for schools and school dsitricts. Topics span the
Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child (WSCC) model as well as a focus on getting started with school
health efforts and creating or enhancing school health teams.


Trauma Responsive Care for Educators Training


Colorado Department of Human Services Office of Behavioral Health offers Trauma Responsive Care for Educators
training aimed to increase understanding of the traumatic response and the impact on brain development as well
as ways to support traumatized children at school, both individually and to create a trauma-informed climate.


Positive Youth Development 


The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment provide free trainings on the physical, social and
psychological changes young people undergo and how that impacts their behavior, how they interact with the
world, and how the adults around them respond to this transformation. Learn the five principles of Positive Youth
Development and how it applies to your programs, policies, and practices. 


Mental Health Aid 


Mental Health First Aid Colorado is available to help interested parties coordinate a training for their audience.
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) offer several curricula including adult, youth, Spanish speaking, public safety,
higher education, EMT, and more. 


Social-Emotional Learning through Kindness in the Classroom

An online class offered through CU-Boulder, taught by a professor from the Harvard School of Education.
