CONNECT: Communicators Network Workshops
Networking Events for Charter School Communications & Development Professionals

The League will continue to work to connect communications staff across the state with valuable trainings, networking, information sharing and expert commentary from professionals.

The League historically has focused this work through three events each year (CONNECT: Communicators Network Meetings). During the 2019-20 school year, the League will be offering two CONNECT meetings in-person but to better engage our network, we will be offering free monthly calls and providing webinars created by our partners from Rally Communications. We will also continue our communications and marketing strand at the annual conference.

The CONNECT COMMUNITY CALLS will take place the last Friday of each month from 12:00 – 1:00 PM. The calls will be a time to hear League updates, discuss relevant communications topics about webinars our partner has created, ask questions, give your school’s update, and share best practices. It’s a monthly touch base with your peers and the League. If interested in joining these calls, please email Kerri Barclay, Director of Communications, at kbarclay@coloradoleague.org prior to the scheduled Friday in order to get the call-in information.

Below is a tentative schedule for the school year (we will continually update this schedule so be sure to check back) relating to our offerings.

CONNECT: Communicators Network Workshops meet two or three times a year in-person at different geographical locations across the state. These workshops include experts in the field providing best practices around communication and marketing themes. Participants will have the opportunity to network and bring productive methods back to your school.  Click our calendar to view these events

Next CONNECT: Thursday, October 10

During the October Connect, the focus will be on marketing planning relating to your school’s annual success. Building a marketing and communications plan which is robust, detailed and achievable doesn’t have to be an impossible, daunting task. The League will provide a variety of presenters who will detail their own plans as reference and then work with participants who bring their own draft plans to refine, hone and receive feedback. This is a hands-on, interactive day-long session that will support your efforts in moving an existing draft plan toward the finish line, so that you can succeed over the following 18 months of implementation.
