For over twenty years, Jonathan Berg has been actively involved in developing, supporting, and establishing high-quality innovative charter schools that close the achievement gap and open opportunities to a broad range of students.

In 2007, he was hired as the CEO of James Irwin Charter Schools.  Under his leadership, the charter school network added two more campuses and schools in 2013 (James Irwin Charter Academy) and in 2016 (Power Technical).

Jonathan has mentored many other charter school leaders over the years.  He led the way by example and showing outstanding character, hard work, and determination, often sacrificing personal time to ensure school successes. His vision for achievement, equity, and accessibility have transferred the educational landscape in the state of Colorado. Jonathan Berg has been a steadfast advocate of many charter schools in the state and beyond.
