We are happy to announce Dr. Howard Fuller and Dr. Deborah McGriff as our opening keynotes at the 2020 Colorado Charter Schools Annual Conference. Drs. McGriff and Fuller will open the conference Thursday morning at 8:30 AM.
Dr. McGriff is the former Managing Partner at NewSchools Venture Fund, and in 1991 she became the first female General Superintendent of Detroit Public Schools where she opened 25 choice and empowered schools. Dr. McGriff also is past chair of the board of the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools and Beyond 12 and member of the Harvard Kennedy School of Government Program on Education Policy and Governance Advisory Committee.
In addition to being Dr. McGriff’s husband, Dr. Fuller is a Distinguished Professor of Education, and Founder/Director of the Institute for the Transformation of Learning at Marquette University. He is the Chair of the Board of Milwaukee Collegiate Academy. Immediately before his appointment at Marquette University, Dr. Fuller served as the Superintendent of Milwaukee Public Schools.
