March 2020: CO Charter Schools Annual Conference: Presented by the CO League of Charter Schools, this event brings together school leaders, board members, operations staff, teachers, technology & support staff and advocates to learn, inspire and engage. Click here for details and to register!
CO Department of Education: The School Counselor Corps grant for districts, BOCES and charter schools is to increase availability and implementation of effective school-based counseling. The anticipated level of funding available for 2020-21 school year is $500,000 (approx 15 grant awards; funding contingent upon pending legislative appropriations). Priority consideration will be given to schools not previously funded. Click here for details. Applications due March 13, 2020.
CO Health Foundation: The Responsive Grants Program, including Children Move More, Healthy Schools, and Youth and Young Adult Resiliency, will be released February 15, 2020. Resilience in School Environments (RISE) Initiative: This new initiative empowers schools to: 1) increase staff job satisfaction, including reducing staff stress; 2) improve safety, connectedness, and relationships among students and staff; 3) boost student and staff social-emotional learning; and 4) increase efficiency and effectiveness of mental health support systems.
