Upcoming Convening in Denver to Provide Input to Planning

The League is preparing for a convening of school leaders in late January to build community and test the ideas associated with an upcoming five-year campaign to be presented at the annual conference. School leaders will hear from staff and consultants on the state and national headwinds blowing at the sector, the challenges that these present, and the responses from the League to position the entire space to grow and succeed.

In today’s political climate, the necessity of responding to critics while also driving a consistent message forward and dictating the conversation is paramount in Colorado and the Western United States. Greg Richmond, founder of the National Association for Charter School Authorizers (NACSA), has been contracted to support the development of the campaign and lend a national voice. The questions, support, and input from veteran leaders during this convening will ultimately develop the framework for the campaign, which is aimed to unify, activate and strengthen the Colorado charter movement.

This special convening will take place on Monday, January 27 between 12pm - 4pm at the Wells Fargo Center at 1700 Lincoln Street.
