The Colorado League of Charter Schools encourages representatives of the Denver Classroom Teachers Association (DCTA) and Denver Public Schools (DPS) to resolve their differences in order to end the strike as quickly as possible. Denver teachers deserve fair and equitable pay, and DPS has a responsibility to operate with a balanced budget while ensuring a high-quality education for its diverse student population. The League believes and hopes that the two organizations can find common ground that meets both of their legitimate needs. In the meantime, because public charter schools operate independently of the union, they will remain open to their families and continue to educate their students as usual.
