Ascent Classical Academies is currently seeking school leaders, including headmasters and assistant headmasters, who share a passion for our mission to grow the classical education movement and to play a key role in significant expansion throughout Colorado and the Western states.
About Ascent Classical Academies
Ascent Classical Academies partners with a network of classical charter schools based in Colorado delivering a content-rich curriculum in the liberal arts and sciences, with underlying principles in the Western tradition of the study of history, literature, philosophy, and fine arts. Our American Classical Education includes, among other things, the study of Latin; a rich examination of American literary, moral, philosophical, political, and historical tradition; and a school culture centered upon moral virtue, respect, discipline, and studiousness among students and faculty alike. Ascent Classical Academy charter schools currently serve approximately 1,700 students in K-12 campuses located in the Denver and Fort Collins areas of Colorado, with significant expansion planned throughout Colorado and beyond. Ascent Classical Academy of Grand Junction is currently hiring grammar school teachers, administration, and staff for its new campus opening in August 2023 and serving grades K through 9.
Heads of school are needed, with current potential locations:
-northeast and southwest Denver metro area;
-Fort Collins, Colorado and surrounding area;
-Durango and Grand Junction, Colorado;
and other locations, beginning with the 2023-2024 school year (and beyond).

Job Requirements:
-
Master's Degree or higher preferred for school leadership
-
Significant experience in classical education and school leadership
-
5 years or more classroom experience
-
Exceptional organizational skills, and experienced management skills

Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, and the ability to effectively articulate information and issues

Understanding of Ascent Classical Academies' mission and vision and a commitment to the growth and expansion of classical education
