Description: Nearly 50% of new teachers leave the profession within their first 5 years (NCTAF). The top 3 reasons for leaving the profession are: 1) inadequate pay, 2) stress/burnout, 3) lack of respect from admin and parent community. According to CDE the number of completers for a Colorado Education Prep Program has dropped drastically. Using best practices designed by Dianne Sweeney, Elana Aguilar and Robyn Jackson, instructional coaches will learn how to provide support and personalized professional development needed to increase teacher performance, satisfaction and retention for new and master teachers.
