Developing a Collective Efficacy (Goddard, Hoy, & Hoy 2004) allows us to develop a sense of Trust (Goddard, Salloum, & Berebitsky, 2009) with and among groups that are different than us. Once trust is established, there is a greater connection and belief in the positive outcomes of a group and organization.

Dates: Monday, April 13

Time: 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM
Location: TBD
Cost:  $185 members | $235 non-members
Description: Developing a Collective Efficacy (Goddard, Hoy, & Hoy 2004) – belief in me, belief in colleagues, colleague’s belief in me, belief in the community as a whole, and the community as a whole belief in organization – allows us to develop a sense of Trust (Goddard, Salloum, & Berebitsky, 2009) with and among groups that are different than us. Trust has been found to be a mediator of multiple factors including race, economics, gender, biases, and misinterpretations. Once trust is established, there is a greater connection and belief in the positive outcomes of a group and organization. Takeaways from this session will explore the strategies used to develop a multicultural world view and culturally relevant and responsive pedagogy as frameworks as mediators for trust with the community, with students, with personnel and within the organization as a collective.
