Special Education for School Leadership

Date: Wednesday, October 17 and Thursday, October 18

Time: 4:30 PM - 7:00 PM

Location: Colorado League of Charter Schools Training Center, 4201 E. Yale Avenue, Denver 

Cost: League Members: $175 for one person and $125 per additional attendee; Non-members: $225 for one person and $125 per additional attendee

Meals: A light dinner will be provided.

Description:This workshop is to empower and build capacity of our charter leaders to ensure equitable, sustainable, and complaint special education practices in their buildings. This workshop is most appropriate for executive directors, principals, or building leaders with limited or moderate knowledge of special education compliance in the following areas: discipline, hiring, budget, case management, instruction, and enrollment practices. In session two, participants will also learn high impact special education coaching practices and purposeful IEP development that yields results.

Common Missteps in Special Education Discipline 
Key Case SPED Management Practices that Save Time, Energy, and Develop Strong Collaborative Relationships

Leading and Coaching Special Education Teachers To Ensure Student Growth 
Intentional and Purposeful Quality IEP Development for Teachers and Students

Registration Deadline: Friday, October 12. Event is contingent on a minimum of 8 registrants.
