Core Knowledge Networking/Conference 2018

Hosted by Addenbrooke Classical Academy

Date: Friday, February 16

Time: 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Cost: $30 per attendee before December 1; $35 per attendee after December 1 | Groups of more than 10 (from one school) will receive a discounted price of $25 per person, if registered prior to December 1

Location: Addenbrooke Classical Academy, 3940 S. Teller Street, Lakewood

Meals: A boxed lunch will be provided.

Description: The conference will include:

  • An opening panel of past and present students of Core Knowledge Schools (their experiences and perspectives)
  • Sessions presented by CK teachers and administrators (see below for more information)
  • Roundtable discussions directed by facilitators engaging conversation about what attendees are doing in their grade level/content area within their schools

As you think about bringing a group of teachers to the conference, please consider encouraging them to present a session. There will be two types of sessions. The first session type, called General sessions, will be about an hour long and might be related to a specific CK Unit, strategies used in classrooms, technology related topics, administrative resources, financial topics, etc. This might be helpful to someone running or teaching in a Core Knowledge school. The second session type, called Core Knowledge Unit Sessions, will be for teachers to present specifically about a unit they have written. Everyone is welcome to present and share their ideas.
