As we head into the summer season, we want to take a moment to reflect, recognize, and reconnect on what matters most—safe, thriving schools and the incredible people working to make that happen every day across our state.

School Safety, Authorizer Decisions & Your Stories

This summer, we encourage school teams to explore local safety resources such as the Colorado School Safety Resource Center (CSSRC), a valuable hub for training, tools, and best practices. If your school is implementing an innovative approach to school safety, let us know—we’d love to spotlight promising practices in a future edition.

Spring also brought several key authorizer decisions, including charter school approvals and closures from both school district boards and the Charter School Institute (CSI). These moments mark important transitions for our sector and remind us of the need to continuously elevate stories of impact and perseverance. Do you have a powerful charter story to share? GSC-CSP Prospect Cohort: Fresh Topics & New Schedule Coming Soon

We’re excited to bring a refreshed lineup of topics and meeting dates for the 2025–26 GSC-CSP Prospect Cohort, launching this fall. From navigating authorization to deepening academic strategy and strengthening school operations, next year’s sessions will be designed to support new and prospective charter teams at every step of the journey. Keep an eye out for the full schedule and topics in our July and August newsletter editions.

Please note: the June cohort meeting has been canceled and will not be rescheduled.
