Colorado Charter Schools Conference
The annual Colorado Charter Schools Conference is the largest professional development opportunity for Colorado charter schools. The Conference features over 60 breakout sessions on a variety of charter school topics. Whether you are a new or veteran charter school leader, business manager, board member, teacher or just someone wanting to know more about the charter school community, the Conference has something for you. Charter School Governance
The League provides governance trainings on-site at your school. Our governance trainings are customized to meet your school’s specific needs related to board training, and focuses on topics such as best practices, performance management and strategic planning. The League also partners with the Colorado Department of Education Schools of Choice office to provide content for CDE’s regional board trainings. (more...)

The League offers professional development to support and develop charter school teachers in a variety of areas. These opportunities are based on proven practice and are universally applicable to all teachers and schools, regardless of the model or instructional focus of the school. Our professional development provides charter schools with access to excellent training for educators and networks schools together to promote teacher effectiveness and professional growth.
2016-17 Academic and Instructional - Regional Cohort Based
The regional cohort based professional development sessions below are designed to be multi-day learning opportunities that take place throughout the school year. There are a variety of professional development structures that teachers will engage during their learning in order to experience various instructional approaches while learning new content. These structures include, but are not limited to, spiraling development during the year to build content knowledge, on-site observation and feedback, book clubs, portfolio development, action research, lesson studies, and mentorship grouping. It is the goal of each professional development opportunity that the participants create a quality product that will support an action plan, the charter school, and student outcomes.
