What I Do For Charter Schools
(How Charter Schools Will Know Me)

I am often the first point of contact at the League for many schools as I maintain the organization's Charter 411 help desk program. This involves monitoring, researching and responding to inquiries or directing questions to staff members within the League who have expertise in that given area. I manage all aspects of League governance training and strategic planning for charter schools from the initial contact and scheduling through follow up. I also assist with many special projects and programs here at the League such as the Administrator Mentoring Cohort Program (AMC) and the Charter School Facilities Initiative (CSFI).


On Charter Public Schools

When I began working with the League in 2010, I quickly realized that the work of the League aligned closely with my personal interests and convictions related to public education and the right of all children to a quality education. My work with the Directors of Professional Services and with our partner organizations has allowed me to see the direct correlation between the operation of a school and the quality of education of its students. 

Background
I have a varied background of experience in public, corporate, and non-profit accounting; marketing communications; and higher education program management. When not with the League I am volunteering for the Denver Public Library, knitting, cooking, reading, enjoying the beautiful Colorado outdoors, and being an awesome aunt to my nephews and many non-related children. I have a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Wyoming at Laramie and a M.S. in Management and Organization from the University of Colorado in Denver.
