|School Health & Wellness|
Like other public schools across the nation, Colorado charter schools are faced with health challenges and learning barriers related to the physical and mental well-being of their students, families, and staff members. Addressing the health of your school community ensures that your students can thrive, meet academic expectations, and be equipped to make healthy choices throughout their lives.
The Colorado League of Charter Schools offers access to the latest research, resources and tools related to multiple facets of school health and wellness. In addition, the League provides a list of potential partners and providers who are committed to K-12 school health in the areas of nutrition, physical activity and education, general health services, and emotional health services.
In key and critical ways, the League acts as a "matchmaker” between accurate, current and reliable health information and resources and its member charter schools. In today’s data-overload and "research findings du jour” world, it’s more critical than ever to ensure that your school has access to valid and reliable information as well as the resources necessary to build a healthier school environment for students, staff and families.
League leverages findings from studies and charter school health and wellness
experiences to help other members provide everything from the healthiest meals
to the most effective emotional health support services.
