Pre-Rally Student Debates

Middle school students from five charter schools will participate in a student congress/debate in the Old Supreme Court Chambers (inside the Capitol) from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM. We encourage schools to bring students to watch the debates!

Debate teaches students many skills including critical thinking, effective communication, independent research and teamwork, all skills that serve individuals well in school and the workplace. This will be a great educational opportunity for students to see other students in action debating many important issues.  It may also spark an interest in debating at your school!
