Business Office Services

Making Your Job Easier

The Colorado League of Charter Schools offers its members a variety of resources for school operations teams, business managers, I.T. professionals and administrators. Not only do we leverage the buying power of member schools via collaborative purchasing agreements, but charter schools also rely on our thought leadership and best practice initiatives for consultations, advice and referrals.

All along the way, the League fosters networking among charter schools as a way to compare notes about their experiences, policies and outcomes. This helps raise the bar for everyone.

For more information about the League's Business Office Services and Resources, contact Tiffany Kallevik, Director of Member Business Services, at 303-989-5356, ext. 116.

Business Office Best Practices

The League offers operational resources, thought leadership and best practices advice on a comprehensive array of business services challenges and aims in areas ranging from accounting and budgeting to I.T. Business Office Newsletters

The League offers charter school business office professionals access to timely information and articles via Charter Focus, a quarterly journal for charter school business managers. Charter Focus delves into a topic of importance to business managers, and features a variety of timely articles written by charter school business office professionals, vendors and other experts in the field.  (more...)

Charter School Friendly Vendors & Service Providers

Retailers such as Costco offer substantial discounts because of bulk buying power. Similarly, the League offers discounts as high as 55-80% on a whole array of charter school supplies, services and equipment—leveraging the buying power that would constitute the state’s biggest school district if so categorized. Just as with the Costco model, League members pay a very reasonable membership fee to save money on everything from cheese to copy paper. For those needing to put into place everything from employee benefits programs and commercial insurance to buying state-of-the-art technology, the League provides guidance and money-saving opportunities. In select situations, the League offers access to free consulting to set up compliant programs in such areas as employee benefits, employment policies and handbooks, and job descriptions.  (more...)

The League offers its members access to three tiers of vendors and service providers:

  • Tier 1: League Trusted Partners
League Trusted Partners have been selected through a rigorous RFP/evaluation process and offer best-in-class solutions to help Colorado charter schools achieve operational efficiency and effectiveness. Trusted Partners save charter schools the time of going through an RFP process to hire a vendor as these companies have already been vetted on your behalf, leveraging the buying power of 225-plus schools.  (more...)
  • Tier 2: Preferred Service Providers
Preferred Service Providers (PSPs) are among a select group of professionals in their field who have been vetted by the League through a 10-Point evaluation process and have proven to be credible resources within their stated areas of expertise for League member schools to access. PSPs are not vetted to the same extent as Group Purchasing partners. However, they earn this highlighted status for their extensive expertise and innovative offerings. Charter schools are encouraged to check references and perform due diligence when selecting a PSP vendor.  (more...)
  • Tier 3: Colorado Charter Marketplace
The Colorado Charter Marketplace links League members with businesses that are committed to the Colorado charter school market. Vendors pay an annual subscription fee to participate in the program. Charter Marketplace participants are not screened by the League, but most have references or referrals from charter schools with whom they have done business with in the past. When selecting a Charter Marketplace participant, charter schools should refer to applicable policies on competitive bidding, check references, and contact the League if additional information is needed.  (more...)
