Description: Join us for lunch and a guided discussion around NWEA MAP topics, and come meet the new Colorado Charter School NWEA MAP representative! This training will review components of the MAP assessment, discuss reasons why MAP will be more important in 2015 and beyond, and offer some time for questions and answers.

Please see below for a brief outline of the agenda.

  • NWEA MAP Assessment Overview/Refresher – a brief introduction to understand how the NWEA MAP assessment is unique to traditional assessments.
  • Guided Discussion – A discussion about why the MAP interim assessment will be more important than ever as Colorado charter schools prepare for the first round of PARCC assessments.  Topics will include an overview of the planned PARCC assessments (both required and optional components), how MAP complements these assessments, and how MAP can be a bridge as you transition to new standards and assessments.  We will also discuss how MAP data fits into your Unified Improvement Plans and school continuous improvement.
  • Q&A – an open forum for questions and discussion around assessment use in Colorado charter schools.

    Registration Deadline: Friday, January 9
