Audience: Charter School Principals 
Description: The seminar will focus on the use of innovative technology and state-of-the-art research to facilitate effective local charter school implementation of Colorado Academic Standards (CAS). An overview of issues and solutions related to assessment, instruction, and the use of data to support student learning during this transition period and beyond will be presented. Sharing an up-close look at Galileo® technology and research initiatives designed to support implementation of the CAS will also be covered during the presentation.

Those who attend will experience increased:

  • Awareness of technological innovations available to assist in facilitating the full integration of CAS aligned assessment, reporting, and instruction.
  • Knowledge of ways to enhance instructional efficiency and instructional effectiveness while transitioning toward full implementation of the CAS.
  • Comprehension of how CAS aligned differentiated instruction can be implemented from three different approaches designed to facilitate the mastery of specific standards.
  • Recognition of effective ways to introduce new Technology Enhanced (TE) item types within the context of instruction and assessment. 
  • Understanding of ways in which technology can help facilitate new approaches to curriculum development and instructional practices in alignment to the CAS.
  • Knowledge of research-to-practice initiatives needed to support effective implementation of the CAS
